antlerite, a copper sulfate mineral, Cu3(SO4) (OH)4, that is found in the oxidized zone of copper deposits, particularly in arid regions. At Bisbee, Ariz; Kennicott, Alaska; Sierra Mojada, Coahuila, Mex.; and Chuquicamata, Chile, it is the principal copper ore mineral. For detailed physical properties, see sulfate mineral (table).
